Posted on February 6, 2020February 6, 2020by Amanda

Life can be hard, but having a positive mindset can make all the difference.

The more we share, the more who care.

Welcome! I am Amanda, the primary writer of this blog. A little backstory on me: I am a Procedural Nurse and Pediatric Respiratory Therapist by day and a wanna be blogger at night. I am married to my high school sweetheart/Army veteran husband, Shaine. A mom to a beautiful two year old little girl named Maize and our second beautiful babygirl, Shae. I am a self-proclaimed busy-body, use humor to cope with life’s obstacles, and a known selfie participant.

I created Sophie Mae James, SMJ, to help me process and cope with some hard times in my life. Over the past four years this blog has acted as an online diary, virtual therapy, a place I can come and share any and all of my emotions.

My life has changed greatly since the first post. I am now a mother, which has shifted this blog into a family blog. Where I share all things a new young family goes through, plus some epic adventures I can always look back on.

Now buckle up for my take on how to add a hint of humor, a touch of profanity, and a whole lot of sarcasm into your everyday life.
